Assistant Project Manager (Construction)

Baltimore, MD - Full Time

Worcester Eisenbrandt, a historic restoration construction company located in Baltimore, is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager.

This is a full-time position (not remote or hybrid) offering competitive pay commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401(k). WEI offers an outstanding company culture and a dynamic work environment.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Interact with construction staff, contractors and equipment vendors.
  • Assist in the oversight of multiple construction projects.
  • Assist in reporting and following deadlines, scope of work and budgets.
  • Source and coordinate materials and equipment according to project timeline
  • Maintain daily logs of assigned job sites.
  • Ability to read blue prints and other plan documents.
  • Assist in the supervision construction staff such as carpenters, masons and pointers.
  • Assist in sourcing sub-contractors and assign sub work accordingly.
  • Prioritize operations and make changes in operations to meet deadlines.
  • At the direction of the Project Manager, create purchase orders consistent with the terms and conditions contained in the subcontractor bids, contract documents, according to Company policy.
  • Have the ability to make detailed list of the exact quantities of materials required for the project.  Comfortable with takeoffs.
  • Experience with the change order process.


Knowledge and Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial construction.
  • Previous construction management experience.
  • Historic preservation knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Excel software.
  • Comfortable with heights.
