Painter – Historic Restoration

Worcester Eisenbrandt (WEI) is seeking talented Commercial Painters to work in Washington D.C. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, are highly motivated, reliable, and can work independently as well as part of a team.
This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, and paid holidays.

Job Responsibilities

  • Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, fixtures, and other structures.

  • Apply caulk professionally on various substrates including masonry, wood, and concrete.

  • Repair imperfections in substrates using appropriate materials.

  • Select premixed paints or mix pigments, oils, thinners, and drying agents to achieve specified colors.

  • Apply paint using brush, roller or spray.

  • Perform finishing and detail work as required.

  • Ability to work overtime when needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Dependable and reliable; able to fulfill job responsibilities consistently.

  • Perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting, reaching, handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.

  • Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Able to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection, safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.

  • Comfortable climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds two and more stories high.

  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 50–75 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of commercial painting experience.

  • Lead certification a plus.

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to travel to various sites in the DMV metropolitan area.

  • Comfortable working on scaffolds and at heights.
