Lead Abatement Painter
Worcester Eisenbrandt, a well-established historic preservation and restoration construction company, is currently seeking a Lead Abatement Painter for a project located in the Lexington, VA area. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a historically significant site, contributing to the preservation of architectural heritage through specialized lead abatement and restoration work.
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
- Specialized knowledge in lead-based paint and other hazardous materials on a variety of surfaces,
- Make sure all chemicals are used properly and safely,
- on floors;
- Identify, remove, pack, transport, or dispose of hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead-based paint, materials, or contaminated soil.
- Patch, caulk and point necessary areas
- Prepare surfaces for painting and finishing
Required Qualifications
- lead licensing a plus
- Required lead worker training
- Commercial experience
- 1 year experience in lead abatement
- Essential safety communication skills

What are the physical requirements:
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to climb ladders and scaffolds
- Ability to wear PPE and respirator equipment
- Able to work in inclement weather
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to stoop, bend, lean and turn.
